Anne Frank

Anne Frank stared out the window. She wanted to go outside and do something fun. Maybe ride a bike or walk through the trees.

But she couldn’t. Anne and her family were in hiding. They were Jewish. It was World War II and the Nazis would arrest them if they were not careful.

“Dinner!” her mother called.

“Gross, what is that?” Anne asked staring at the plate.

“This is all we have,” her mother said.

“Quit complaining, Anne,” her sister, Margot, said.

Anne stuck out her tongue. It was hard to hide in a small space with the same eight people every day. Her sister could get on her nerves.
