Hansuke and the Hunter

In a forest lived a boy named Hansuke.

One day, Hansuke saw a hunter in the woods. That meant many of his forest friends would be in danger.

“Hello,” Hansuke called to the Hunter. “What brings you to the woods today?”

“Can you help me?” the hunter asked. “I am having a feast and want a meal no one will forget.”

Hansuke smiled. “You’re in luck. I know these woods better than anybody. I will make sure you have a meal to remember.”

Near the river, Hansuke and the hunter saw a boar digging near a tree. The hunter aimed his bow at the animal. Hansuke raised his hand to stop him.

“That boar is too big for us to carry,” said Hansuke. He pointed to the ground. “Let’s gather these hearty mushrooms instead.”
