The Goddess Nuwa

Nuwa was a goddess. She could fly everywhere.

She could fly across the ocean. She could soar to the top of the mountain.

One day she found a very beautiful place.

The streams were filled with fish. Flowers bloomed in the meadow. The animals were happy.

“This is such a nice place,” Nuwa said. “I will stay a while.”

Nuwa sat by the stream. She looked at the pretty things around her.

Just then, Nuwa said, “I am alone. There is no one here to share this nice place with.”

Nuwa did not like that at all!

She knew just what to do.
