The Great Chop Suey

Ham-chan was a quiet pig. He owned Happy Piglet Tea House, the best diner in town.

One morning, Ham-Chan’s work was interrupted when his friend Jumpy-Chan hopped in.

“The Pork Princess has been kidnapped! Princess Petunia has been kidnapped!” the rabbit shouted.

“Kidnapped by whom?” Ham-Chan squealed.

“Gorilla Shogun,” Jumpy-Chan replied. “Do you think the great Chop Suey will show up to rescue her?”

“Chop Suey hasn’t been needed in years,” said an old man named Eel Eyes. “He may not be ready for the fight.”

Eel Eyes looked toward Ham-Chan, for he knew Ham-Chan’s secret: Ham-chan himself was the great hero Chop Suey!

“He will be ready,” Ham-Chan said.

That evening, Ham-Chan met with Sensei Eel Eyes in secret. For years, Ham-Chan had studied Karate, Judo, and even the secret art of Ninjustu from Eel Eyes.

“Ham-Chan,” Eel Eyes said. “It’s time.”

Ham-Chan put on his black Shinobi Shozoku, Tabi boots, hood, and mask.
