Otto's Missing Tooth

Otto smiled at himself in an abalone shell mirror. He loved to look at his teeth. He had the whitest, sharpest teeth of all the baby sharks.

He let out a huge burble, which is shark talk for “EEK!” There was a great big black hole where a tooth used to be!

“My tooth, my tooth,” he cried. “Someone took my biggest, whitest, sharpest tooth!”

Otto swam back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. He was not sure what to do.

All the other baby sharks were jealous of his white, sharp teeth. “Did one of them take my tooth?” he wondered.

Otto swam to the nursery. The young sharks were swimming in and out of the green kelp.
