The Bear Prince

Long ago, there lived a poor man. He had three daughters. Their names were Maria, Rosa, and Nina.

Maria was the oldest. Rosa was the second oldest.

Nina was the youngest.

One day the man was chopping down a tree in a forest.

Just then a bear jumped out from the bushes.

“This is my forest!” the Bear growled. “How dare you take my wood!”

The man was frightened.

“I am sorry, Sir Bear,” said the man. “I have three daughters to feed. I sell your wood so I can buy them food.”
