Zombie Elementary: A Very Zombie Christmas

It was Christmas Eve. Zack, Tina, and Ivan were at the mall, shopping for last minute gifts.

Zombies stood in line to buy rotten fruitcake. Vampires selected vials of hemlock perfume. Kids ran through the aisles of “Demons-R-Us.” Everyone was in high spirits.

Except for Zack. He hated the lines, the crowds, and especially the annoying carols.

“From now on our troubles will be out of sight,” Tina sang along. “Here we are as in ghoulish days,” she belted.

“Can we go home now?” Zack interrupted. “The holidays are the worst!”

“What do you mean?” Ivan asked. “I love the holidays! I always get so many awesome gifts.”

“Exactly,” Zack said. “It’s all about the gifts.”

“Quit being a Grinch,” Tina said.

“I know a Grinch,” Ivan said. “He’s terrible.”

Frankenturkey yanked on Ivan’s jacket.

“What do you want?” Ivan asked. Frankenturkey pointed toward the center of the mall.

“He wants to see Santa,” Ivan said. “And it’s not just any mall Santa, but THE Santa!”

The friends walked to Santa’s Village. There, Santa Claus sat on his chair with a child on his lap. The line to see Santa wound around the whole village.

“Great. More lines,” Zack complained. “This is going to take forever.”

“Look at all those gifts!” Ivan said, ignoring Zack.
